101 Tasks in 1001 Days

1. Stop letting my depression run my life.

2. Record all blood glucose test results on paper.

3. Write at least 50 poems, to prove I can still do it

4. Make peace with my father and stepmother, even if it’s only inside myself.

5. Finish my bachelor's degree.

6. Eat a deep-fried Mars bar when in Scotland, and try my best not to puke/die because of it

7. Stop using the word "fuck" so much

8. Apply/get accepted to a master's program in Scotland or Sweden

9. By the end of August 2008, get my BUNAC visa application and fee sent in

10. Spend at least 30 nights without the internet/TV.

11. Do 5,000 push-ups and 5,000 sit-ups

12. Deposit at least 5% of my monthly earnings into my checking account, no matter how much I make

13. Stand up for myself when people treat me badly

14. Buy a decent digital camera

15. Finish "Lest I Forget"

16. Truly start believing that I'm good enough to be accepted by people without embellishing my life

17. Learn to accept love without feeling unworthy of it and pushing the person away

18. Do at least 30 random social things, even something as simple as going to a neighborhood cafe for lunch.

19. When living overseas on the BUNAC visa, continue doing social things (i.e. no shutting myself away in a foreign country)

21. Go sky diving at least once

22. Accumulate $1,000 in my savings by cutting out needless expenses and putting away the great majority of what I earn

23. Take at least 10 random, unplanned daytrips

24. Actively seek feedback on my stories and poems

25. Read 10 classic novels

26. Go to bed by midnight every night for a week

27. Drink nothing but water/tea for a week

28. Relearn sign language

29. Stop feeling guilty after seizures/reactions!!!

30. Watch 101 movies I haven't already seen

31. Go to the cinema at least 30 times instead of downloading everything

68. Listen to all the Kelka podcasts again, in order...including non-episode ones

69. Have more than the required 1000 GBP saved for Scotland by October 1st, 2008

70. Go to services for at least 5 different religions/denominations

71. Book my flight to Scotland by September 5th, 2008

72. Stop biting fingernails for one week straight, to be continued as long as I can make it

73. Find at least 2 new hobbies

74. Buy a decent mp3 player to take on trips

75. Place flowers on an old unattended grave

76. Eat (or drink!) breakfast every day at breakfast time for one month

77. Read 30 books just for pleasure

78. Visit at least 5 countries I haven't been to before

79. Identify 25 things I like about myself, no matter how hard that is

80. Start believing in love again

81. Buy a decent bicycle and use it as my primary mode of transportation

82. Stand outside for the duration of a thunderstorm, just to feel it

83. Stop assuming the worst if people don’t talk to me for a day or more

84. Make some real effort toward improving my health/appearance (teeth/weight/eyesight/etc.)

85. Learn CPR

86. Don't turn down invitations to social occasions, unless I have a real conflict

87. Meet at least 3 "online" friends in person (that I haven't already met)

88. Stick to a grocery budget for one month

89. Spend a day being a kid again. Park, picnic, maybe running through the sprinklers, lemonade, etc.

90. Be completely silent for 24 hours

91. Give money to a beggar and actually mean it

92. Learn enough Swedish to be able to converse at least somewhat

93. Swear off caffeine for two weeks

94. Buy one (small, inexpensive) frivolous thing a month

95. Write up a Living Will, just in case

96. Do 100 things for just myself, without putting anyone else before me

97. Buy groceries/clothes/anything else possible at discount and thrift stores rather than at market prices

98. Cuddle at least once

99. Get back to a maximum weight of 125 lbs if not less

100. Have at least 30 days to myself to decompress

101. Start a new list in October of 2010, starting off with anything I failed to accomplish on this one
